Hill & Knowlton strengthens ESG Communications team with Karen Malone

Hill & Knowlton strengthens ESG Communications team with Karen Malone – Hill & Knowlton (H&K), Canada’s leading public relations and public affairs firm, is proud to announce the addition of Karen Malone as Vice-President, ESG, to its team in Toronto.  Karen brings over 15 years’ experience specializing in ESG strategy, program design, impact measurement and reporting. Karen understands the best practices necessary to navigate the growing expectations organizations face for sustainable business operations and help clients meet their mandates for accurate climate disclosures. “We’ve seen that companies need to take on a deeper sense of purpose that reflects the growing expectation from society. Karen’s depth in ESG will help our clients address their impact on people and the planet, build reputation and deliver growth,” said Sheila Wisniewski, President & CEO, H&K Canada. Karen is also a lead trainer for a global Sustainability Practitioner Certification and the GRI Standards Certification where she has trained over 450 executives across 25 different industries. Karen has supported the learning and development needs in the ESG space for clients such as Cineplex, Hazelview Communities and Women’s College Hospital, to name a few.  “The significance of climate action and social justice initiatives to the performance of corporations is increasing,” said Karen. “I’m excited to be joining the team at H&K to help design and communicate the ESG commitments for our clients.” Karen joins H&K from her most recent position as Founder and CEO of LittPark in Toronto where she developed ESG strategy for leading companies in the entertainment, real estate and engineering sectors. In her new role at H&K, Karen will support clients in introducing and demonstrating their progress with ESG.
