Things We Are Proud Of

How do you target an audience that doesn't use traditional information channels and has zero tolerance for irrelevant content? This was the question we had to ask ourselves when helping the University of Oslo (UiO) with a recruitment campaign.

UiO has no trouble appearing serious and academically strong to potential applicants. However, conveying the emotional reasons to look forward to starting university is more challenging. 

To promote these aspects, we created the campaign 'Things We Are Proud Of,' a series of fun and colorful videos about the people and opportunities at UiO. The videos were designed especially for social media and to capture the attention of an audience with a shorter attention span. 

Record-High Motivated Applicants  

The campaign was highly successful with 4.5 million video views, 96% reach within the target audience, and over 30,000 visitors to UiO.no. Numbers from Samordna Opptak showed that UiO had a 16% increase in the number of applicants in 2020.
