Hill & Knowlton was challenged with delivering the flagship initiative for the global shipping company Maersk, Equal At Sea, to help transform the Maritime industry through on-board women's equality and inclusion.
Connecting with maritime industry stakeholders and challenging the status quo
The team partnered with Maersk to identify and connect with maritime industry stakeholders across all levels, developing formats, content and crafting unique messaging on women seafarers.
The team handled on-ground event management, social media and content creation for the event and developed a customized agenda, confirmed speakers from the shipping and aviation industry, key messaging points for speakers and takeaways for attendees.
A video created for social media covering the initiative outperformed Maersk's existing content in terms of engagement, while the event united industry voices who pledged to create an inclusive future and encouraged stakeholders to think differently about industry-wide policies.
